5 Fun Things to Do in the Distillery District
Top 5 things to do in the Distillery District
One of the greatest – and, ironically, newest – historic destinations in Toronto can be found just a short walk from Union Station. Up until only a few years ago, the Distillery District was a derelict collection of industrial Victorian-era buildings, each slowly falling into unloved decay. Now, they sit proudly at the heart of one of the most important cultural destinations in the city.
It began with a rejuvenation of the 47 buildings known as the Gooderham & Worts Distillery, but it grew to be home for artisans, craftspeople, creatives and assorted quirky characters – an internationally-acclaimed village of one-of-a-kind stores, shops, galleries, studios, restaurants, cafes, theatres and more. In fact, it’s now one of the country’s premier arts, culture and entertainment destinations, not to mention the countless Instagram-worthy photo spots.
So, let’s take a look at some fun things to in The Distillery District.
