How to Use It:  

1. Plan Ahead 

Before your trip, research and plan your itinerary thoroughly. Verify the timing of your layover and ensure you have enough time to explore the city while accounting for travel back to the airport. 

2. Check Border and Visa Requirements 

Depending on your nationality and the country you are transiting through, you may need a visa to leave the airport. Consult the current border and visa rules well in advance to avoid any surprises on the day of your travel. 

3. Buy a Long Layover Ticket Online 

When you land, navigate to the UP Express ticket portal and select Toronto Pearson Airport to Toronto Union Station as the two stations, selecting Long Layover Return or Family Long Layover Return as your ticket type.  

4. Navigate to Toronto Pearson Terminal 1 UP Express Station 

Upon arriving at Pearson International Airport, proceed to Terminal 1. You can do this by following “Train to the City “ signs. If you are arriving in Terminal 3, you will need to transfer using the Terminal Link. Have your Long Layover Ticket readily accessible and ready for inspection when boarding the train.
