Free rides on UP Express kick off at 7 p.m. on December 31st, 2024.
We have arranged additional late-night trains from Union Station to help you get back from the festivities safely. Special trains will depart Union Station every 30 minutes between 1:15 a.m. and 3:45 a.m., making all regular stops to Pearson Airport.
Extra trains will depart from Union at:
- 1:15 a.m.
- 1:45 a.m.
- 2:15 a.m.
- 2:45 a.m.
- 3:15 a.m. and
- 3:45 a.m.
The last train departs Pearson at 12:57 a.m., and there will be no additional late-night trains from Pearson. If you are heading home eastbound from Pearson Airport after 12:57 a.m. or westbound from Union Station after 3:45 a.m., no worries! You can still rely on free rides across the GO Transit network until 8 a.m. on January 1st, 2025, to ensure a safe journey home after the celebrations.
How to travel for free this NYE on UP Express:
- Arrive at Bloor, Weston or Pearson stations before your train.
- There is no need to tap during the free service window. Please do not purchase a ticket.
- Sit back, relax, and let UP Express take you into 2025 and beyond.

We want your New Year’s journey on UP Express to be comfortable and enjoyable! With trains and platforms busier than usual, please stay alert in crowded areas and keep back from the yellow line. For all things safety, text ‘HELP’ to 77777 to reach a CPS dispatcher for assistance in emergencies.
