FAQs

After completing the registration process outlined above, eligible Airport Employees may purchase Airport Employee one-way tickets online or through the Mobile App using an UP Express online account. Tickets can be purchased up to a year in advance and stored on your account until needed. When travelling on UP, please have your ticket and valid ID card ready for inspection.
Eligible Airport Employees who have not yet registered for the program may purchase a one-way ticket for trial at the UP Express Service Counter at Pearson Airport Terminal 1. Please note that tickets purchased from the Service counter are non-refundable and are for immediate use only, and expire 30 minutes after purchase.
When airport employees board the train without acceptable ID, it impacts the ability of our Guest Service Representatives to board other passengers. This is exceptionally difficult during peak times as it slows down the boarding process for all passengers. We kindly ask for your co-operation.
The UP Express mobile app is available for Apple, Android and Windows Phone devices. They can be downloaded through the App Store , Google Play , or the Microsoft Store .
Once your registration in the program has been approved and confirmed by email, you will be able to purchase a Monthly Pass online or through the mobile app.
The Monthly Pass can only be used on the mobile app on your smartphone. To use a Monthly Pass, you must activate the pass within the "Available Tickets" section of the app for every trip you take. Once activated, you can use the Pass for unlimited travel within the month. Please note that you cannot activate the Pass after the 15th day of any given calendar month. Monthly Passes will expire on the last day of the month at the end of service day (02:00).
Monthly Pass holders are required to carry their valid ID card and pass while travelling on UP Express. To make your boarding more efficient while travelling on UP Express, please have your valid ID card and ticket ready for inspection when boarding and while onboard the train.
Monthly Passes and One-Way Tickets are not transferrable and can only be used by Airport Employees that have a valid ID card with them when travelling on UP Express. Anyone attempting to use an Airport Employee fare product that is travelling without a valid ID will be required to pay a full fare.
Yes, the monthly pass qualifies as an eligible public transit pass for the purpose of the Transit Tax Credit.
Full refunds can be obtained, provided that your Monthly Pass or One-Way ticket purchased online or via the mobile app is unused. Refunds can be done by contacting UP Express Guest Services at [1.844.GET.ON.UP (438.6687)] or https://www.upexpress.com/CustomerSupport/ContactUs

This is to ensure that everyone can board safely and in an efficient manner. If you are travelling between 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM or 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, please allow yourself a few extra minutes to board the train and have your ID card and ticket ready for validation before you board.
